Self motivation pays off. Our little guy Jack won his school’s National Geographic Goegraphy Bee, he’s only in fourth grade. He will now represent the school in the next level. I didn’t even know it was happening today. He has been working on maps at home but nothing out of the ordinary. All of our kids attend Love of Learning Montessori school. The school follows the child, which means they ignite individual interest within each child. By doing this the child is able to achieve their best self. Its all about the journey, not the outcome. He did this all on his own with the support of his peers and teachers. I’m so excited for him he’s going to be so proud of himself. Can’t wait until he gets off that bus. The school called me to tell me so I haven’t even seen him yet.
Wow!!! It might be the champagne, or the gorgeous hug and lovely chat I had with the inspirational Baroness Floella Benjamin, but I’m overwhelmed and a bit emotional about winning best blogger at the British Cruise Awards tonight. You all know I’m passionate about our wonderful cruise industry and have had the most incredible adventures on so many ships: big, small, luxury, expedition, boutique and river. Long may it continue. Also, do you know that over 80,000 people voted in his year’s awards, and that the average cruiser gets younger every year? Such an exciting time! Thanks to @cruisemag and everyone who voted! 🚢
