  • Had a #meday yesterday. Mani-pedi, followed by a walk in #centralpark . Took some time to ground myself. Had a realization last week, I haven't touched the Earth since last summer.   • Well, it’s not #wellnesswednesday anymore and I didn’t get around to posting my wellness tip yesterday, but I’m posting it here today and just pretending it got done 😂🙌! Guys, it’s been busy around here!

Today, I thought I’d touch on the importance of eating at home. Eating from home and cooking our own food increases our connection to the environment, our families, our food suppliers, and the food itself. Taking the time to slow down and create ritual around meal time creates a nourishing space that cultivates relaxation, good digestion, and connection with our loved ones.

An added benefit is that when we’re cooking and preparing our own food, we know exactly what it’s made of and what went in it. We aren’t exposing ourselves to harmful ingredients, gmos, fillers, bad or rancid oils, etc. We know that the food we prepare is altogether nourishing, clean, and delicious - #winning 🙌! Seriously, when has fast food ever competed with a home cooked, made with love, #delicious and #nutritious meal?!
