Player ratings from last nights game:
Allison: 6 Did not have much to do and distribution was pretty poor.
Matip: 6.5 would have been a 7 but gave away the ball in some poor positions.
Fabinho: 7 Thought he played well again and that tackle on Lewandowski was class.
Robertson: 6 Not one of his better games, Gnabry troubled him and his crossing and passing were poor yesterday.
Trent: 6 He has been out, but his crossing was poor and gave the ball away too often.
Hendo: 8.5 Covered the ground superbly and was breaking things up the whole game and passing forwards. MOM
Wijnaldum: 6.5 Looked a bit off it today. Was tidy most of the time but nothing spectacular.
Keita: 7.5 Looked great in the first half, turned and drove at players and looked dangerous. Went off the boil in the second half and had he made the pass to Robbo, who knows. Getting better every game though.
Mane: 7 Worked tirelessly but sloppy finishing.
Salah: 6 Not one of his best games, can do much better.
Firmino: 7 Given he was sick, in the first half his link up play was superb. He tired in the second half.
Origi: 5 He didn’t make an impact when coming on.
Milner: 6 Tried hard when he came on but could not change things.
What are your thoughts on the player ratings? Lots to improve on, but not conceding a goal gives a chance in the second leg, where we will definitely have more space to attack them!

Well that was… I don’t even know how to describe how nervous I am for the second leg 🙃
I don’t know if we can win but we have to hope so , our away recoded this season has been an utter shambles 😬🤦🏽♀️
Liverpool 0-0 Bayern
Yes, a frustrating draw but I saw something different. The respect top opponents have for us is incredible!
All teams visiting Anfield sit back and are never truly dissapointed unless they suffer a big defeat. Prior to the games we are also being viewed as favourites - some would argue it's because this isn't the Bayern of old, but we could say similar things about City, PSG, and Madrid.
Most pundits would put us down to beat any opposition at home (even away) - and that confidence is clearly evident on the pitch. What a transformation under Klopp.
I think we're taking this tag for granted and seem to be forgetting our long exile from the elite group. It really puts things in perspective - massive shout out to the players and staff.
Firmino’s no look goals are a perfect example of confidence at the highest level.🔥 He has the pressure from fans, his coach and teammates, and even himself yet he is still able to score important goals without looking.👀
💢Confidence is key in this sport and also in life. You have to have confidence in yourself before you can expect your teammates or coach to believe in you.
💢Confidence is gained by tons of practice so that you are thoroughly prepared. Also, by understanding that failure is part of the game, so there’s no reason to fear it.
💢Eventually your confidence will rub off on others and will cause you to play better. The majority of the game is mental, so if you can be confident the rest will fall into place.
Would you consider yourself a confident player or is that something you’re struggling with?⬇️
