  • Yesterday was our third visit to #pavillon67 at #casinomontreal for #valentinesday2019. As expected we needed to line up at least 30 minutes before opening. After the table was assigned our waiter immediately took our order for drinks. We noticed the buffet's quality decreased a lot. During our first visit there were lobster, snow crab legs and a better variety of dishes. We started sampling the seafood cold buffet and a lobster bisque. For our surprise the selection was not that great. Our second plate was from the hot buffet. Surprisingly the clam chowder comes from a can (sea watch brand, the can was left on top of the buffet), paella tasted more like rice with tomato sauce, duck magret was overcooked, vegetables comes frozen (I know the difference between frozen and fresh, stay tuned for tomorrow's post when we will be showing the difference), calamari was fried in old oil (we could taste the burnt), deserts were average (more likely from a box). Overall:

Flavour: 2.5/5 (the quality decreased through the years, use of canned or frozen products)
Platting: 3/5 (average, we are evaluating the plates on the buffet)
Service: 4/5 (waiters are very attentive except until you grab your desert. They come and start cleaning the table and bringing the bill. In our case, we wanted coffee and tea, but the bill was already on the table. At the carving station where I got the duck magret the cook seemed to be doing a favour to serve you - not friendly at all)
Atmosphere: 4/5 (nice decor, quiet and respectful customers)
Price: $$$
