  • Water can mean life or death.

Through our #SinceTheWaterCame initiative with @CompassionUK we aim to bring clean water to the projects we are involved in.

We recently completed our 10th water project in the south of Uganda. Before the completion of this project in Bujubwe, people had to travel up to six kilometres, 75% of Compassion-supported children had coughs and at least five children in this community suffered from typhoid every given month.

But through your donations and support to the project 275 Compassion children and 2,500 people in the community have now access to clean, safe water. This results in less disease, higher school attendance and improved personal hygiene.

  • I remember stepping here in March 2014 and everything has been unfolding well since. I thank the Government of #Uganda for creating a conducive environment to allow private organizations to support the health sector. Thank you MTN for considering this hospital in a unique way. Thank you for choosing an important aspect of health, no mother should die giving birth. We have been grappling with the problem of maternal and child death as a country and such initiatives are a step in the right direction. - District Health Officer Lira. - Patrick Ochen #MTNFoundation #MTNat20 #MTNExpo I remember stepping here in March 2014 and everything has been unfolding well since.
