I had a few very sleepy ponies tonight. Which is quite strange since they both had Saturday and Sunday off and a very light work day yesterday.. I’m not going to question it though. They both were lovely and very thoughtful though so it was a pretty nice change to not have to work quite as hard to help them.
Not ready for the chilly weather coming, except I’m psyched for snow. Hopefully it doesn’t interfere with one of my year end banquets!
⭐️Latest from the Blog: Redefining Self Care in 2019⭐️
✨What does self-care look like to you? While face masks, meal preps, and yoga classes are guaranteed ways to practice self-care, building community and connecting with those in need can produce the same sense of satisfaction and well-being.
✨WSO wants to encourage you to focus on self-care as we move into 2019, but to think about different means to this end. We’ve rounded up a few our favorite Bay Area nonprofits that could use your help this year that will in turn help keep your spirit grounded and fulfilled. Link in bio!

PROGROOM Enhance horse shampoo this is an incredible product. I brought it back from New Zealand and am yet to find a UK supplier. It is completely natural with pure Argan oil. It’s made in Australia and makes his coat super soft and smells amazing! It was worth being over the bagged weight limit for.
@nafuk MAKE YOUR MARK quarter mark spray. I swear by this at every event I go to. I will do my quarter marks before dressage and they haven’t changed one bit even after XC! Sometimes I even spray a bit onto hits plaited tail at the top to stop stray hairs and keep it all in place.
@shapleys NO.2 HEAVY OIL. I used this before our photo shoot and it is incredible. Just two cap fulls in a bucket of warm water and his coat is left gleaming. I am really looking forward to using it on his summer coat!
@nafuk PLAIT IT UP! I will be honest with this one. I find it is quite slippery to start with as Haze has quite a fine mane. I find I have to apply it then wait a while for it to dry a bit to plait his mane. It does eventually have good results but can be a bit time consuming.
@smart_grooming LAVENDER SHAMPOO. I want to take Haze to bed with me after using this. He smells soooooo good! He feels super soft and is also super shiny after using this! The lather is also great so I only need to use a little at a time!
ULTRA HOT OIL TREATMENT. This I also brought back from NZ and am planning to use in the summer.
@dawe.sarah.goodbyeflys SHAMPOO in a unique bottle! I use this around Hazes face to get a good scrub without scaring him with a big sponge!
Look in comments for Picture 2!
Pysy kanavalla 😊
If you train with a lot of turnout from hips then virasana is a great counterpose for turning out. Virasana turns thigh bones in and reveals thightness in feet, ankles, knees and hips. This pose is difficult for me since I’ve been doing ballet for 51 years. Watch video: Aim to place knees together and sit between heels keeping feet close to pelvis. Fold hips, draw thigh bones in into hips. Sit upright with lengthened spine. Press outside edge of sole down, try to place fingers between pelvis and heels to turn heels out a little. If this position is hard for you, sit 1 min daily after class or workout, you need to be warm. If this position is easy for you then turning out from hips or opening sideways might be hard for you, I will post about opening tomorrow, stay tuned.
Staying active everyday is important for your health. Finding something you love to do and can have fun with is an easy way to get active but still love what you are doing. Workouts don’t have to be boring or annoying. Here’s a couple clips from our ballet and pointe classes today where we focused on our turn out, winging our feet, our point and learning others choreography. Since we had a small class tonight, we were able to really focus on specifics and do certain exercises like with yoga balls... where as with bigger classes we would do more traditional ballet and pointe. •
Remember to get active everyday- getting moving will release endorphins which will overall make you feel happier and better- and have fun with it!
