INJURY: Left patella (knee cap) dislocation. This injury is more common in women and typically happens when there is a sudden change in direction when the leg is planted.
TREATMENT: consisted of electro acupuncture to stimulate activation of the quads, retinaculum and patella tendon. The surrounding tissue was then released to increase knee flexion and ease patella glide.
ACTIVE CARE: Focuses on strengthening the surrounding tissue and increasing knee mobility

  • Super Food Spotlight: Pomegranate!
Now that it’s in season, I’m putting that s*!t on errythang! From salads, to smoothie bowls, to salmon and champagne (hello, pomegranate mimosas!)
So what’s so great about #Pomegranate?
- It’s PACKED with vitamins and minerals including vitamin C, Vitamin K, folate, potassium and B6.
- It’s a good source of fiber to help keep you regular.
- It has tremendous #antioxidant power, which promotes heart health and has anti-cancer benefits.
Elevate your Chicken or Salmon meal with my pomegranate-ginger glaze recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup blended pomegranate juice (I blend the fruit in my Vitamix with a little water)
½ cup Honey
¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbsp fresh Ginger root (grated)
¼ tsp Salt
Directions:
Heat pomegranate juice, honey, vinegar, ginger and salt in a medium saucepan. Whisk and bring to a boil over high heat. Once bubbling, let boil over high heat until reduced and thickened. Enjoy!
