  • i’m a nerd and write a list of goals every year on my birthday.. this year is 34 things before i turn 35. i stole this idea from @elsielarson in my twenties and have done it ever since. i rarely accomplish everything on the list, but goals feel so good. they stretch me, give me confidence and give me something to look forward to. >>> 1. make one pie a month
2. get a puppy.
3. plant herbs. 
4. start a girl's dinner club
5. make lasagne from scratch
6. make chocolate bars from scratch
7. complete 34 acts of kindness
8. take 34 feet pictures 
9. learn how to grill 
10. become a foster mom
11. go to nashville 
12. girls trip with tindle & sutton 
13. iceland? italy? rwanda? idk just use your passport. 
14. listen to a new artist every month
15. buy a stranger dinner 
16. read two classic books 
17. cook an elaborate meal for friends 
18. road trip to marfa
19. start a recipe book with beautiful photos 
20. bake a pavlova 
21. go to a concert 
22. start doing yoga 
23. watch every wes anderson film

Finished my 30 day MMA style program with a bit more definition in my core. whoop. ⠀
Not bad for a body-weight program. But I am glad to be lifting again! ;)⠀

Over the last 30 days I've also had an inner transformation & shift when looking forward to my future. ⠀
⠀
When envisioning my future, I begin with my past. ⠀
Specifically, I begin with my regrets. ⠀
⠀
I don't want to live a life full regrets- full of memories not made, adventures not taken, & fun not had. ⠀
⠀
So I start with my regrets. ⠀
What regrets do I have in my life & what can I do to ensure I don't have anymore of those regrets.⠀
⠀
I'll be honest with you, I'm not the "fun one" I'm not spontaneous, I don't take risks, & the idea of going on an adventure gives me more anxiety than I can put into words.⠀

BUT, I know I've missed out on many memories and opportunities with my boys & Jonathan by being such a stick in the mud so I've shifted my mindset. ⠀
(Like that adventure to Clark Creek last week...SO out of my comfort zone, but it was the best part of our week!) ⠀

I don't want to look back over my boys childhood or my marriage and regret not making more memories, having more fun, and just being present. ⠀

So here's to no more regrets! ⠀
