  • Everyone has a #story it is up to you on how you write that story. " we are not strong because we choose to be. We are strong because we are chosen to be."-Jae 2016
#strength it's one of those things that is internal. It is a foundation of the infinite possibilities of life. When we are weak, we are actually the most strong. When we feel that we are strong, we are generally the most week. The oxymoronic way of life is such that we cannot completely comprehend the complexity. We are not all made to be #atlas . We don't hold the world on our shoulders; yet we can grasp it in our hand. To change the world you only need to change one person.

  • Finished up today’s workout with some heavy 5x5 Kettlebell snatches (62lbs or 28kg shown).
⠀
If you’ve seen my stories this month they’ve been filled with weird graphs and charts from my morning HRV (heart-rate variability) reading and my daily (or twice daily on good days) MyZone Workout.
⠀
A few of us at the gym are participating in a silly one month long challenge with these @myzonemoves heart rate monitors we had as part of another program purchase. We’ve been thinking about creating an excursion that incorporates them, but we wanted to play around with it and do some beta testing first.
⠀
One of our coaches suggested a month long challenge for most points or MEP’s. The app that comes with the monitor gives out points that they claim is a “credible metric to measure intensity based physical activity”. 1 MEP/min at 50-59% Max HR, 2 MEP/min 60-69%, 3 MEP/min 70-79%, 4 MEP/min 80-100%. For a month’s worth of working out they recommend around 1300 MEPs. Most of us have already surpassed 3000 😂.
⠀
It’s been a fun and challenging month of workouts and I’ll write up a summary of the month and my thoughts on this kind of training.
⠀
Today’s workout was a circuit:
⠀
5 minutes air assault bike at 55 watts effort minimum
Kb Complex 5 single arm swings, 5 cleans, 5 snatches
5 minutes ski erg
⠀
