Love this beautiful variety of dishes. It conveys so much love and brings back warm memories of eating with family and friends. One of the key messages of National Nutrition Month is " include a variety of healthful foods from all of the food groups on a regular basis ." So much variety in this meal. #repost@khinkhinfood with @repostsaveapp ・・・ Growing up in an apartment complex with other SE Asians immigrants families meant you had lots of “aunties and uncles” that can cook! On any given night, dinner was an array of dishes. Kinda like what we have here when our team members bring different dishes to share at work. 😝 We may have grown up poor but let me tell you, our memories was filled with an abundance of flavors, friendships, and family!
Mango Tango & Volcano Pancake
Mango Tango: sweet milk snow filled with bites of mango and mango purée, topped with condensed milk and a side of sweet sticky rice!
Volcano Pancake: Fluffy pancakes, topped with chocolate ice cream, powder, and Oreo bits
Review: I’ve been to Naya’s so many times and it never disappoints! I always order the mango tango because mangos are my favorite fruit, AND IN BINGSOO FORM?? YES PLEASE. It may look pretty boring, but don’t worry, the filling is on the inside of the snow, rather than on top like normal bingsoos. The sweet sticky rice is also made perfectly here, because it has the perfect balance of chewy but also a bit firm. What blew me away however was the volcano pancake. I do not typically enjoy chocolate types of dessert because I find it way too sweet, but THIS DISH WAS SOMETHING ELSE. It wasn’t too overly sweet and it brought me back to my childhood because I think the powder they sprinkle on top is milo 😭💕 the pancake is also EXTREMELY fluffy and makes such a great base for the toppings.
