We talk a LOT about Spirituality and living your divinity through your human experience. Spirituality is very important.
Many of you may not know though that I am actually, in addition to being a spiritual "alchemist" that I am also a Clinical Nutritionist and Functional Medicine practitioner.
While I tend to focus more on the spiritual root cause of dis-ease within the body I also understand that how we choose to nourish our bodies is also key in how we can express our divinity.
First, let me tell you, I am a careful omnivore but I eat very intuitively and I am very mindful of the energetics of the food I eat.
For me, Spring and Summer are my two favorite times of the year for food because I get to eat very high vibe plant-based foods, many of which I grow myself and can go a lot easier on the heavier meats and copious root vegetables or greenhouse grown veggies which don't suit my nature.
The choices I make to nourish my body, specifically in Spring when my body is waking up again from a very long winter should be high vibe foods.
Some of these guidelines are:
These foods & beverages are considered high-vibrational because they are ALIVE, CLEAN, PURE, and in their most NATURAL STATE. They are sourced, cultivated, and harvested ethically, consciously, healthfully, and with loving/positive intention. 🌱Pure/Filtered Water (limit drinking out of plastic bottles!)
🌱Organic, Local (if possible) 🌱Fresh Fruits and Vegetables - the higher the water content, the higher the vibe! 🌱Organic Leafy Greens
🌱Young Plant Shoots & Sprouts
🌱Soaked, Organic Seeds, Nuts, 🌱Herbs, & Spices
🌱RAW Chocolate, Raw Honey, Raw Maple Syrup
🌱Unpasteurized, Fermented Foods & Beverages (i.e. kimchi, sauerkraut, unsweetened yogurt, kombucha, and kefir).
🌱Whole Grains (i.e. quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth, spelt)
🌱Healthy, Cold-Pressed, Organic Oils (i.e. olive oil, coconut oil)
*Animal proteins are Free-Range/Wild Caught, Organic, Hormone-Free, Antibiotic-free & sourced ethically.
We’re doing big things now, fam… but we don’t forget where we came from 🙏🏼 This video was made a year ago, while we were cooking up magic for the South Central LA community in our food truck. Now, we have a brick and mortar business in @4thstreetmarket AND still roaming to your neighborhood to bring you all of this flavor. Food Truck tomorrow at Kmart in North Hollywood from 12pm to 8pm 🚚 🎥 @bringme 🔥 #afng#awwready#dtsa
We've become comfortable with the word "toxic” without understanding what it truly means. When I talk about toxic relationships, this means they are debilitating & unhealthy, giving you the feeling that you aren't taking care of yourself spiritually, mentally, or physically like you should. This means you feel less than yourself like when you compromise life goals, values and worthiness. I call these relationships toxic because your authentic Self withers away into someone you don’t recognize - denying all that is natural for you. The label "toxic" means something that drains life & energy. Before you know it, you are weak subject to the whim of the person to who you give your life-force & power to.
But what if you are just using the word "toxic" to cover up what really is the unveiling of deep-core wounding?
For example: When you conclude that you need to cut a person off and they're not actually toxic, to you that's subconsciously saying, "I'm in a painful situation, which reminds me of how I was abandoned as a child, so instead of directly dealing with my pain, I'm going to run away from it again."
Sure, you can choose to run away from pain again. But it's not going to work because the deep-core wounding you have, that you refuse to feel, will bring the same situation & the same type of people into your life over & over again in an attempt to be worked through. It does its best for you to feel it, to see it, to experience it in an attempt to help you learn the lesson it's trying to teach you. So take into consideration that when you're abandoning a relationship, because you conclude that the wound they expose is toxic, you're co-creating what it means to abandon yourself.
Until you start questioning your values, your actions, your willingness to evolve with this pain - you will never be free from it.
When it comes to this consider if you are avoiding pain by cutting someone off when all it is, is an opportunity to meet yourself at an authentic level and to remember who you truly are ❤️ Conflict resolution, babes. It takes you far in life.
Nothing is quite like a bit of fried chicken. Except fried chicken, I guess.
Went for thicker cuts of breast this time, and served it with some sriracha mayo and three-carrot salad (yeah, you just take three different colors of carrot and... Voila!). Honestly, the day I refuse a piece of fried chicken and spicy mayo, you'll know I was "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"-ed.
I can't express how wonderful this woman is. Thank you, so much, @dido for blessing the world with that amazing voice for almost 25 years. Also, thank you to @eminem for introducing me to her voice 19 years ago.
Happy Official Spring everyone! ❤️🌼🍋
Even though this is a time where there’s a 100 weathers in one day, it’s still my most favorite time of the year 🥰 especially in California; seeing flowers and fruits lusciously thriving everywhere so commonly street-side is something I’m now addicted to 💚😍
These morning walk finds make me so hopeful and full of joy 💕with a daily reminder that without the winter, there is no spring and such is life. 🤷🏻♀️
Wishing everyone all the warmth, bloom and joy of this season.
