Though the walk to the falls is a long one and can get a bit tricky on the rainy days, it was all worth it. The way that tourist spots are developed in Lombok is remarkable. They don't charge much ticket fees, and use the ticket money to build minimal pathways to the attraction. A rare mix of development and keeping the essence of the place intact.
Meet Jana. One of the very first people we met on this Indonesia tour. And though they tell you not to judge a book by its cover, but if people in Indonesia were going to be anything like this gem, we knew we were in for a great great trip.
He had the most chilled out attitude. Probably knew a word or two in Hindi and knew how to charmingly use them to woo Indians to use his services as a guide and earn some money.

@iamsrk is very popular in Indonesia. A lot of locals actually know the lyrics to kuch kuchh hotaa hai. And they know that no matter one looks, if they tell them they look a bit like SRK, one would feel flattered.
