These two besties are happy to be reunited after 3 rare days apart.
I think it did them the world of good to have their independence for a few days as travelling and spending time together 24/7 can sometimes be challenging in different ways.
How do your travelling siblings get on? 👫
Brother and sister, together as friends, ready to face whatever life sends. Joy and laughter or tears and strife, holding hands tightly as we dance through life. – Suzie Huitt
Brother dan sister, bersama sebagai teman, siap menghadapi apa pun yang dikirim kehidupan. Sukacita dan tawa atau air mata dan perselisihan, berpegangan tangan erat saat kita menari melalui kehidupan. ❤💚💜💙💛
On our first beach day in the Dominican last month, I was sitting in the sand watching these sweet kids play. The waves were fairly intense and these cuties were running into the water with no fear. I was watching my surroundings for a while and simply smiling at them.
My smiling must have been welcoming as the little girl in this photo came up to sit beside me in the sand. I speak no Spanish and desperately wished I knew how to ask what her name was. I talked to her in short sentences in English to let her know we couldn't really communicate. She talked endlessly in Spanish and I just smiled and listened. Then I started drawing some pictures and the sand. This was our way of communicating and I thought it was soooooo beautiful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I left her for now and then later on in the day her and her brother both came back to me. We played in the sand, she brushed my hair while he gave me many showers with a watering can 😆 when it was time for us to go for the day I knelt down and gave her a hug. I let go of her and she held my hand as I walked to get my belongings. Her tiny body gave me another hug, this time I was standing so she wrapped her arms around my legs. Then she kissed my tummy and said goodbye.
This is one of my favourite memories from my trip. I promise I will learn a little bit of Spanish next time I go away 💙
