Ad (press trip) | On my recent trip to Malmö I finally had the chance to visit a store that has been on my wish list for many years.
@absmaland is basically my dream shop. Filled with linen bedsheets, dried flowers, potted plants and beautiful homeware that would look just perfect in my imaginary Swedish/French country cottage. Seriously, I could have bought everything here and was cursing myself for not leaving any space in my suitcase!
What shops around the world do you adore? Where have you visited and wished you could just move in?

Patricia from Portugal, who joined our Slow & Mindful Escape in Tuscany wrote the following after our retreat: "This is my first experience like this, a trip with people I don't know, a different language, and a concept that I never have done before - Mindfulness. I really needed to stop a little bit, to think about my life and feel and experience different things. For me, these days were exactly what I needed. And Lisa is an amazing person that I take in my heart forever. Slow Escapes is a blessed idea for everyone who needs some time to slow down." - thank you so much for these sweet words Patricia! 💛
Doing so many different things in life is not easy. I allocate a few days to work at my job, a few days to study, 10 to 20hrs of work for my client and then on top of that I want to pursue my dreams of styling, blogging, travelling and all that. After that I try and fit in gym, socialising, run regular living errands, time with Ciaran and then time to chill 🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️ Today I had a meeting about 1.5hrs drive away
The plan was to come home and study but after all the discussions and 3hrs of driving, I am absolutely buggered so I am going to switch things around and fit in a leisure time activity instead.
I think I might draw a bath and read a book.
Study has to fit into another time of the week. Me forcing myself to study right now is just going to stress me out because I am just too tired to focus right now. If I push myself I am going to be feel even worse for not being able to concentrate 💫💫💫 Back in the the any disruption to my timetable like this would FREAK ME OUT! 💣💣💣 Butttt lately I have taken things more spontaneously and things have been better. I am mentally allowing myself to chill out for a bit by telling myself "I deserve this". Sounds a little mental but works for me because I stress like crazy and have a need to be doing something productive at all times.
Ok enough of writing I gotta go and chill! 😘😘😘 📷 @edna_guimera

Something as simple as watching the sun rise or sun set can alter your mind into a beautiful awareness of truly how lucky we are. 🌄
Let's start putting more energy into the positive instead of the negative.
Finally getting round to finishing off the list of house to-dos after just enjoy living in it after the renovation process. There’s still a long list 📃 but one step at a time 👍🏻 added these kitchen shelves which have been amazing for some extra storage!
Good Morning! Who’s for coffee?
I haven’t had a chance to list these reclaimed linen place mats yet but they will be up soon. They’re easy and give a relaxed feel with their frayed edges. I am thinking of selling them as a bundle of 4. Do you think that works or should it be a pair?

Woke up this morning feeling grateful for what I have and even though life can be tough sometimes, for what I do not have, too. One door closes yet another opens, every day is a new day full of chances, changes and opportunities. And for now- l have the biggest gift of seeing this little munchkin grow. ❤️
A throwback, on a Tuesday! Oooo I’m a rebel! I found this on my camera roll from around Easter whilst I was searching for something else and then forgot what I was actually looking for?! I’m hoping for weather like this at the weekend as I’m surprising my two with a little trip to the seaside while Mr F is away with friends, I’m so excited to see the look on their faces! Right... back to it, we have a whole lot of school and work before then!
you see these trees, you see this water? man you got so much more to appreciate ☀️ (thanks lil boat 🚣♀️) (wanted to use this caption for years because of ricks car jams but we’ve come full circle after years) 🐸 (2000 and LATEEEEE references)
Skincare Review/Empty: Lush Jade Roller Naked Cleansing Balm (R89).
Formulated with hazelnut oil, marula oil, shea butter and rose water, this multi-tasking balm can be used as a makeup remover, cleanser and/or toner. As a makeup remover, there are two ways to apply this: either apply it directly on the skin or melt a little in your hands and apply with your fingers.
This balm does a great job at breaking down my face makeup (I don't use this around my eye area to avoid unnecessary tugging/pulling) but the balm is quite thick and therefore difficult to apply to/spread on the skin. Despite leaving a nourished and moisturized 'layer' on my skin (which is still present after doing a second cleanse), this product isn't my favourite makeup remover/cleanser because it's not as easy to use as cleansing oils/balms. Also, this product is quite small and doesn't last that long so it's not the most cost effective - it lasted me about 3 weeks with daily use (and in this time I used it in conjunction with another makeup remover). I don't think I'll repurchase because I prefer other cleansing balms/oils and the Jade Roller Cleansing Balm doesn't last long enough for me to justify the price. Also, the mung beans fall out of the balm after a few uses.

Brand Spotlight: Suki Suki Naturals.
Founded by Linda Gieskes-Mwamba in 2014, this South African brand has a curated range of multi-use skincare, haircare and body care products that boast some amazing ingredients. I've only tried two products thus far (the Papaya Rose Hydrating Facial Mist and Mango Butter) but these products have become firm faves in my collection - the Papaya Rose Mist is refreshing while the Mango Butter is incredibly moisturizing on my dry skin. I also have my eye on the Acai Gentle Exfoliating Mask, Whipped Shea Creme and Rosehip Brightening Facial Oil and will probably purchase these in the near future.
Packaged in beautiful glass jars and bottles, these aesthetically-pleasing products are free from sulphates, animal ingredients, artifical fragrances, petroleum, and mineral oil. This is definitely a local, cruelty-free brand to keep an eye on. You can browse and purchase Suki Suki Naturals products on their website or on Faithful to Nature's website. Have you tried any of their products? Let me know below!
