🔴 Throwing it back to DragonCon 2017. This was actually the first time I attempted a neutral makeup for a cosplay. I had done crazy character makeups before but usually if I was going to do a character like this I would have just put on eyeliner and called it a day. This was when I realized how much of a difference it makes and now you will hardly ever see me in a cosplay without it. As cosplayers I feel like we are always learning new skills and that’s part of the fun! I’m definitely still learning what I’m doing with makeup but seeing improvement in my cosplay is always exciting! 🔴
TBT: ⬅️ SWIPE! Following @anniegraves.cosplay current Furiosa build and today’s post from @downenphotography has me all nostalgic for my family’s Fury Road group from 2016.
It came about as a joke due to @emmy__jonesy being so small. I thought a Mini Immortan Joe (or in our case Joan) would be funny. We all loved the film so much we just went for it!
All of the main costume hardware parts were handmade by me. @rawrbomb provided raw 3D prints of the smaller Joe parts. My mother-in-law made some of the clothing that we couldn’t source from thrift stores.
Katelyn (Nux) hand sculpted all of the Nux prosthetics herself.
@photogeekgirl (Max) created the majority of her costume.
To this day it’s the only all family group we’ve done.
