  • Just sharing the lusciousness that is @dastonybrand stone ground coconut butter. 🥥😍🤤This product is seriously one of my  most favorite things ever. It turns to an instant coconut milk if blended with warm drinks so I love using it in matcha or yerba mate - so yummy. We’ve also been adding a spoonful to jasmine or basmati rice as it cooks to make coconut rice and that’s also insanely good. I add it to smoothies, soups that call for coconut milk if I’m all out, and it definitely goes in all of my raw desserts like cheesecakes, chocolates, and fudge. It can also be used as a butter sub in baked goods like cookies, muffins and cakes. The list goes on and on. Instead of an isolated oil, coconut butter is made from stone grinding whole coconut flakes until it turns into a luscious, silky consistency like right here. Nothing is removed. It’s rich with medium chain triglycerides for our brain, energy and metabolism! If you don’t have a jar in your pantry you need! 🥥🤗

The latest 2019 Environmental Working Group #DirtyDozen and #CleanFifteen lists are out.. similar to last year with a few changes. Strawberries still at the top with the most pesticide residues found.. and kale made a big jump to 3.

If you buy some organic and some conventional food, these lists are a useful tool to give us an idea of what produce we should *prioritize* buying if we want to avoid ingesting the most pesticide residues.

For example, strawberries found to have the most pesticide residues, avocado the least... so we can opt for organic strawberries and grab the conventional avos vs. the organic avos and conventional strawberries if we need to make that choice (notice a lot of the clean 15 has skin we don’t usually eat, although there’s still systemic residue).

One more tool for our toolbox if we want to check all produce tracked (not just #Dirty12 and #Clean15) is WhatsOnMyFood.org. You can search just about everything, including baby foods (which I’ll add, very critical for the developing brain and body which I touched on in Stories👆🏼).
