“ Life gives you what you create from it not what it has” - Francis Odeyemi
Few days ago, I received an invitation to speak at a youth conference in Ibadan which I declined. The person that reached out to me was surprised and worried. He said, “we have heard a lot about you and we want you to join the panel session for the conference". I told him, "I’m sorry I will be unable to attend the conference." My decision to decline the invitation was very intentional. Why? Because I needed a break.
Yes! A break. Often times, most of us are clouded with the noise of appearance and with the praise of people giving credits on the moves we take and the impact we make. It's good to inspire and impact people. It is very good to be the reason why most people are fulfilling their dreams, but in all these don’t forget yourself!
One of my major goals this year is to unlearn and relearn. Unlearning the old things I knew and relearning the old things in the right way.
The most difficult aspect of learning is to unlearn the old things you've known.
When taking a break, you have more and you give less. You learn more and you talk less. I’m an active listener and this part of me gives me more insights about things, people and life. At every point in life your knowledge and understanding about a particular thing gives you access to a particular audience.
Take time to acquire more and and pay attention to self development.

Road trip (Cabin thoughts)
She gazes out the car window
She’s so deep in thought
That she doesn’t feel him grab her hand
It kinda startles her
He responds by kissing it
As to reassure her it’s ok
She’s waited ever so patiently for him And this moment
Not ever giving up on finding true love
She runs her fingers through his luscious hair and brushes her hand along his cheek
His eyes are fixed on the road ahead of them
But her eyes are fixated on him
Even through concentration though he’s smiling, he’s happy and content
They have miles ahead of them
But their journey will last a lifetime
The roads were sometimes smooth but mostly bumpy
But they never gave up on each other
Rather they found love in the most unconventional way
Where is this road trip taking them?
They have no idea
But the past is in their rear view mirror and
They’re never looking back
