😉 #travel#viajar#packandplainnyc

Last week (June 10th), #bigbusiness turned 31. My Auntie had this tape when I was a kid and the artwork always fascinated me. My Mom was a big Bette Midler fan so I grew up a fan too. I finally got around to properly watching this movie a year or so ago and I had a blast with it. I’m obsessed with the Plaza Hotel because of Home Alone 2 and Crocodile Dundee and this one probably filmed even more on location there. A smart #80s comedy. Shout out to @stephenmcramer who is the biggest @bettemidler fan I know.
I keep seeing 90s images of Yasmeen Ghauri and I recently being posted on Instagram. She was such a special person with a huge personality and of course, a beauty. As I remember, she didn’t love modelling too much, she was very real and didn’t go for some of the pretence of the fashion business.... hence, why she’s probably not interested in being involved in the Insta fashion scene. She had a very dry, funny sense of humour. She’s Indian / Canadian and I’m Anglo Indian / British / Italian so I guess we had a bit of a bond... as with Yasmin Le Bon who’s Persian / British. The three of us would get sent to walk the runways of Paris, Milan and New York together for many, many years. I’m still very good friends of over 30 years with my beautiful Yasmin Le Bon.
Would love to see Yasmeen Ghauri again too some day... GE xx 💋
