Guys, let me tell you something Aiden was literally obsessed with this car at chuck e’ cheese 🧀 (if that’s the correct way to spell it ) 😂 I’m pretty sure that the card that he hat to use on the rides were all spent on this machine!
Bloopers: The realities of playing by ear music you vaguely hear in your mind but can't fully recall which piece it is to corroborate your memory with the actual music. I have a vague impression it's likely Sibelius but I could be mistaken, I'll have to check. I was messing around on my violin and started to get into the impression of a memory... but it kept trailing off, as you can see. I've never played Sibelius before (if that is indeed what the piece is?) but I feel inspired now to look up the sheet music because I would like to learn it. It's pretty in my head, and it would be nice to hear played by someone who actually knows the piece. xD
I have heard artists do what they do simply because they can't not. After extended periods of deprivation through times of overwork in other fields, rest, or travel: I feel that wholly now. Sometimes I will even move for one thing and find a violin in my hands instead, as with today. It's not a choice but an act. One I must habituate with more regularity.
I don't think I've ever posted such a transparent practice video before, mainly I'll take the snippets I didn't totally screw up and share those. But really, these are the realities of practicing too (although this one I had never played before, merely translating a thought to fingers as it occured). I have heard that mastery of anything takes 10,000 hours, and from my experience training in multiple fields for wide-ranging mastery; it's 10,000 hours of failing a bit better each time. In other words: I fuck up alot, check myself, and amend my pratice accordingly. And repeat. Until I die. I have learned recently to focus more on the activity than the results.
Also if my hair is unkempt, that would be because I had forgotten to shower after hot yoga because studies. When I work on a thing I hardly notice my appearance.
