Tried out a new herbal bath soak that I made, and it was magical! Sea salt/eucalyptus oil/motherwort/red pine needles. I have been feeling a little down lately, sad and a bit anxious-so I created a bath soak that I thought might be soothing. Motherwort is one of my go-to plant allies for anxiety, usually ingested in a tincture, but I have never thought of using it in a soak. The result was a warm, calming, meditative feeling. The smell of the pine needles combined w the raw green earthy smell of the motherwort leaves just induced a loving feeling.
Remember: self-care, and learning to soothe yourself in troubled times, gain a moment of clarity and courage to go on, and learning to love your body- are not just for wealthy spa patrons! That is what society wants you to think. Plants can help, and you can grow them yourself. A walk in the pines is also a beautiful way to calm your nerves and it's free! 💚🌙☀️🌱🌲🌿 #plantallies#herbsaremagic#herbsheal#plantlove#wildyourlife#greenlife#natureheals#livingwithplants#loveyourself#wildwoman#greenwitch#beanfeasa
If you take a detox bath and don’t document it the toxins will probably stay in your body. Oh and bonus points if you line it all up on the toilet like the lady you are. Happy self-care Saturday, folks!
ITS A FOUR DAY WEEKEND😆! Hirt’s Garden Order Unboxing Video is Now Up 🤗📦📦🌿🌿. I finally got my Monstera Adansonii and Philodendron Micans! ❁ ❁ I was so excited when they came in that I didn’t realize the camera was out of focus for the unboxing part. I still put it up though because I’m learning as I go😊. ☝🏼It DOES get clear once they’re out (time 5:09). 💚🌿 ❁ ❁
Thank you @minimalistcali for tipping me off about @hirtsgardens having Micans☺️🌿, and thank you @nishabalsara for unknowingly helping me find this @maedayrescue Save A Dog bag in the background🐾. 1. Plant friends are the best friends 2. People who share their passions and also love dogs are my kind of people. ❁ ❁ Have a great mini vacay Plant Friends (if you get one, if not, have a great weekend 🤗🌿!)
Well hello pretty! 😍 I thought id take you home from Trader Joe’s and adopt you because you’re just too cute! Let’s see if I can’t keep you alive this time!
Friends who have orchids, what’s your survival tactic?!?
I’m a big fan of the earthy bohemian look. For those of you who want to bring more life and color to your home while sticking with a clean minimalist style, read on. Below I list a few benefits and tips of adding nature and color to your home -
• Having fruits or veggies on display vs in the fridge reminds us it’s there so we eat them first. Put your sweet and salty snacks up high in a cabinet (out of sight out of mind).
• Having plant decor adds life to your home, and depending on the plant has the added benefit of oxygenating the air (good for us dealing with winter inversion).
• Having fruit and plants together allows a cheap and easy way to mix up colors in your home for each season. Whether it’s peaches 🍑, pears 🍐, lemons 🍋, etc. have fun with it and see if you get inspiration from the new color combos.
• Use white bowls and pots with your plants and fruit so your not overshadowing your natural color elements.
Tag me in your pics if you decide to try this in your own home. ✌🏼
It’s the teeniest of #flowers for February 16th’s #myhousethismonth but I bought this plant in London, got it home and within a week it had completely shed all its stems 😧
I thought it was a goner, but it had one small stem left which I popped in water and then repotted. It grew and grew and turned into a full, gorgeous green being. And now it apparently flowers! I really should find out what it’s called... 🤔🧐
This frequently encountered vine doesen't have a clean reputation, but it has a cleaning effect.
The common ivy is often reduced to negative traits like its toxicity. But one of the poisonous chemicals is the very reason for its usefulness. Common ivy leaves contain saponins, which make them an effective ingredient for a homemade washing detergent. So for your own eco-friendly laundry detergent you just need some ivy leaves and water. It's as simple as that.

I’m definitely one of those people that have to have a good morning to have a good day. If my morning is stressful, upsetting, etc. I tend to harbor that emotion all day.
I depend a lot on these three blends to set my morning mood & leave me feeling good all day.
These are the three blends I use. (you can find the recipes for them in my highlight labeled “roller blends”):
•Comforting Blend: rolled on my shoulders & the sides of my neck to keep my grounded
•Uplifting Blend: rolled on my collar bone, under my ears & on my wrists to keep my happy
•Invigorating Blend: rolled on the back of my ears, down the back of my neck, and in the palm of my hands for some serious huffin’. I use this blend to wake me up & keep me motivated.
What are your morning go-to blends?
Rosemary, Rosemary, Rosemary
My number one when it comes to hair. I’ve used tons of different hair oils to help with fly always and frayed ends. I put one (or two) drops of rosemary EO into the palm of my hand and run throughout my hair. The best part is, it doesn’t leave my hair greasy (YASS!!). Plus, Rosemary is great for hair growth & preventing dandruff! If you struggle with either of those, just rub it into your scalp every night & viola!
