When I started this workout program over a month ago I knew that I wanted to make a big transformation. I just wasn’t sure what the transformation would be. Of course I was hoping to lose a ton of weight which I will be honest hasn’t happened yet...but something even bigger happened...I have totally transformed my Health and my fitness.
The video on the left is me week 1 and the right is today week 6...I am faster, I am able to do more reps, I am stronger, I can do moves I struggled with a week ago, and I seriously kicked that old me’s ass!
For the first transformer I increased by 20 reps, the second transformer by 47 reps and I no
longer have to modify and the last transformer I increased by 1...but my form is better and I am able to jump higher!
So the weight loss will absolutely come...but the transformation I have gained in 36 days is freaking incredible! You have no idea what you can accomplish when you stop comparing yourself to others and only try to beat the old you! And all this in only 20 minutes a day!
I am starting round 2 next Monday...I can’t wait to kick my round 1 ass! ❤️February is American Heart Month❤️ PE teachers are at the forefront for helping students develop good heart healthy habits early. With heart disease being the leading cause of death for men and woman in the United States, it’s important to stay educated and encourage others to get healthy as well. Swipe for heart facts ➡️
As a PE teacher and a maker this was an awesome chance meeting today. I met a lady who makes all sorts of things from package strapping. The balls she made looked similar to Sepak Takraw balls seen in the last slide. This would be a great art / maker space / physical education lesson that would give the students their very own ball. Sepak Takraw balls are very expensive, imagine if we could make them essentially for free, and save some plastics strapping from the landfill in the process? My kids and I will meet with her next week to make prototypes in an attempt to get the right density, size and weight for practice Sepak Takraw balls! Bringing sport to the world for free! #recyclesports#makersmovement#recyclemaker#reuserevolution#physicaleducationteacher#sepaktakraw
Hi. I’m Carli and I want to share a passion I have.
I’ve had a lot on my mind this weekend...society puts so much pressure on us women to look a certain way. Yes, I know it happens to men to, but tonight I’m focusing on women and girls. You see, I watch my students get tired and weak from not eating enough or at all.
This is so common we don’t even realize or always pick up on it. I know I was there before. It breaks my heart. These girls starve themselves thinking that’s the only way to be beautiful and skinny. Why? Because that’s how society portrays girls and women. It sickens and disgusts me. It also makes me want to cry.
What if we, as a society, started to portray girls/women as healthy?? Healthy comes in all shapes and sizes. Healthy looks different on every body. Most importantly, healthy is a consistent choice to make choices that benefit our bodies. It’s all about balance.
So please join me in this. Educate our young women/girls on what healthy looks like mentally because then it shows physically. Tell the girls/women in your life how beautiful they are...no matter what they look like or stage in life they’re in. Encourage healthy behaviors and praise mental health. ❤️
January 14th...day 1. Taking those Day 1 pics was pretty tough. Reality set in...although I had been extremely consistent with my workouts I was not consistent with my nutrition and I was not getting enough sleep.
So January 14th the journey began...I focused on nutrition, 20 minute workouts, and more sleep when I could (this is a work in progress). Every morning I would open up my tracker and the first thing I did was write down how I was feeling, what I was struggling with, and how I would overcome those struggles. Then every evening I would go back into my tracker and put on what I ate...every bite, every sip... This is the beauty of his program. By journaling in your tracker you are not only transforming your body but your nutrition, your mind, and your life. You can look back and see what worked best. Did you sleep more or laugh a lot...things we don’t account for.
In these 5 weeks I am learning that in order to have a physical transformation you must make sure the mental transformation happens as well.
1 week left and then I am jumping right into round 2. I invite you to join me...take those day 1 pics so we can celebrate together the transformation you see on day 60 and beyond.
20 minutes a day, simple nutrition, accountability... message me!
