"Oh, man in the moon, send an evening star to wink at my dreary eyes, and I shall make a wish for a peaceful world that spins with no more lies.
Oh, man in the moon, send the night's cool breeze to lull my leery heart, and I shall cast my fears to the wind with ease, and watch them all depart.
Oh, man in the moon, send the sandman's dust to rest my weary soul, and I shall slumber in happy dreams until the morning bells do toll.

“Good design goes to heaven; bad design goes everywhere.” Dieter Rams: 10 Timeless Commandments for Good Design
Who is Dieter Rams, first of all? Dieter Rams is a German industrial designer who was responsible for the design of Braun’s consumer products for many years. About 50 years ago, in his quest to answer the question “Is my design a good design?”, he developed the 10 principles of good design, sometimes also known as 10 commandments. It’s amazing to see how valid these principles are today, so much that we might feel than even more than back then, when Rams actually wrote them!
According to Dieter Rams, good design:
Makes a product useful
Makes a product understandable
Is thorough down to the last detail
Is environmentally friendly
Involves as little design as possible
