"On May 5th & 11th I will be competing in my first #bikini #competition. I will be competing in the ICN federation. I have always be into #fitness but really wanted to push my body, further than what I could do on my own. This is where I decided to compete. May 2018 I started prepping with my coach Joey Cantlin. You may think wow that’s a long time, but it’s a long process to get your body to where it needs to be. I went through a stage of boosting my #metabolism, from there it was time to build #muscle. ⁣⠀
Every week I do check ins with my coach, this consisting of photos, measurements, #macros I’ve eaten throughout the week and just a general chat about how everything is going. From there I am given my calories for the week. I’m not told what to eat. I can eat whatever I like as long as it fits into my calories. Why? Because this stops us from binging or craving foods that we miss. Now that I’m much closer to competing my calories are fairly low because I’m cutting. I eat mostly whole foods 1. They are usually lower in calories 2. I want the most #nutrients in my body and 3. I like to eat lots of food, by eating whole foods you can give lots of volume to your meals. I train 5 days p week, my coach gives me a new training plan every 4 weeks consisting of low and high reps days along with upper and lower body focused #exercises . What I am doing is not easy, the closer I get to competing the more tired and drained I am. My #hormones have changed, I have cravings and I am always hungry. I have worked hard to get to where I am. I am #stronger #mentally and physically which is making me more #determined to push through. This has been the most amazing experience and I’m not even done yet! 8 more weeks until I step on stage & I can’t wait to see the package I bring!"⁣⠀
