I began this fitness journey logging entries in #thecaptainsplaybook my weekly reason to post. I would compete in races and share recaps. I had a goal to inspire others to be the best version of themselves.
While that fire still burns within me, I have found the product itself (Instagram) to have stolen a piece of my life. If I don’t have something going on in the real world, I find myself aimlessly scrolling in this one.

Additionally, I no longer do playbook workouts, and my year of challenges has ended. I find myself worried about what to post next, and if it will be content worth sharing or not.

Yesterday I took a day away from social media, and for most of the day left my phone screen side down and ignored anything that wasn’t in my presence and I found myself constantly wanting to flip the phone over and look at it for no reason. I refrained from doing so, and by the end of the day, I had very little screen time and it felt so great.

I have some big life changes coming up, and I want to devote myself to them completely. As part of that I have decided to largely remove myself from social media, and I will not be getting on this account.

If you have read to this point, and will still be following me when I do decide to return, please comment below and show your support!

To all my sponsors and friends who have supported me, and continue to support me, thank you for everything you do, and I promise I will return when I have content worth sharing! .
