Essential oils are a part of my daily life, from aromatherapy to first aid. I even use them in cooking sometimes! Be sure to pay close attention to the first chart by @rockymountainoils (my preferred brand) for the proper dilution. Essential oils are powerful and concentrated so not only does a little go a long way, but you have to be mindful of the way each essential oil affects your skin! When in doubt, always dilute with a carrier oil! Right now, my favorite blend to create is clary sage and frankincense. I also LOVE lavender for just about everything and it’s safe for children :)

Green smoothies are an easy and quick way to get nutrients in your system! Be sure to choose your ingredients wisely, however, because not all smoothies are created equally. Spring water is one of the best forms of liquid for a smoothie. Coconut water from young coconut is a close second! Avoid sweeteners or too many sweet fruits (berries are perfect!). And pump up the protein with sources like avocado or hemp seeds! And if you’re like me and the texture needs to be more frozen-like, freeze your fruit! I avoid ice because it can sometimes throw off the flavor of your smoothie.  Be creative and patient with finding a green smoothie that works for you!
