If I had to choose one sportscoat to wear for the rest of my life, this would be it. A classic double-breasted wide-lapel blue blazer with gold buttons. This vintage blazer is made by Hart Schaffner & Marx and is about 20 years old. It only cost me $11.00! A great buy!
In this photo I am wearing a pocket square I quickly made from an old light blue cotton broadcloth shirt. When these shirts become old and frayed, I usually use them as rags for shining shoes. However, I rescued a square of cloth with a pair of pinking scissors (to prevent fraying on the edges) that now serves as a crisp cotton pocket square. It’s a great way to recycle old worn shirts that would otherwise be discarded!
