Some videos and shots I took last Saturday at the Corner. This was a seriously awesome night. I thought I'd write a little bit about each of the bands because they were actually all amazing.
First up was Primitive. Setting the bar for the night high from the start, they had serious stage presence, solid chops and well written songs. I was actually really impressed, well done lads.
Trigger also put on a great performance. They mix traditional thrash metal with a keen sense of melody. It was almost like power metal in parts. I like. Great job dudes.
Triple Kill are talented musos and very funny guys. Metal can often be very serious and it's refreshing to have bands that take the piss a bit. Highlights were making sandwiches for audience members during their set and some well-chosen outfits and makeup.
Orpheus Omega were the big draw for me. I just really love their music. As well as being heavy as fuck, they have really catchy melodic sections and also a great sense of groove which to me is sometimes lacking in death metal.
Omnium Gatherum the headliners put on an amazing performance. They sounded incredible, but the best thing about them for me was they just looked like they were having so much fun. They were up there having the absolute time of their lives and it really came across. It's so good when you see seasoned performers that have the confidence and authority that comes from decades of playing live (they've been a band since 1996) but haven't lost any of their fire and passion for playing.

Technical death metal masters Allegaeon @allegaeonofficial have recently released a guitar playthrough video for the song "Exotermic Chemical Combustion" from the album "Apoptosis". Check it out through the link in my bio!
One year ago yesterday, I was in Oulu watching these dudes destroy at a hometown gig. One year later, I had the pleasure of seeing them in the US for the first time! Now, it's time to get ready to see them in the Bay Area with all the Bay Area homies! 😎
