Overall calories don’t *really* start over every day. You have to be in a deficit to lose weight, and as you can see by this example, you can eat your deficit calories and ruin it with a bad weekend. 
There are ways to figure in treat meals and your favorite foods without sabotaging your weight loss.
You could eat in a slightly stricter calorie deficit during the week to allow for more calories over the weekend. Or you can make some of your favorite foods fit within your goal without going overboard!  It’s completely up to you!  But doing exactly what this picture is showing is not going to get you anywhere!!
