You guys, this is legit the best thing you’ll see on #instagram today. @tqutbi gave me the BEST smoothie recipe. I don’t really drink smoothies but when @tqutbi started listing the ingredients, I almost drowned in my own drool. It’s for the peanut butter lovers club, of which I am a loyal member. @deliciouslyella you’d LOVE this! .
Unsweetened Almond Milk (or any fake milk) .
Banana (preferably pre frozen pre cut pieces, but if you’re like me and don’t have the patience or discipline to ‘pre’ anything. It’s cool just chuck a room temperature banana in there! .
Date, de-seed and rip it up. This works well for anger management.
Peanut Butter - I use crunchy. You can use whatever makes you happy :) .
Coffee - I’ve been using @beaniescoffee Cookie Dough flavoured coffee. ‘Bliss in a Jar’ is what they should’ve called it. .
That’s it! Blitz to your heat’s content. I pre froze the sliced banana, the ripped up date, and the coffee in little bags in the pic. .
Spicy Tuna Tartare
Happy Easter everyone! 🙏🏻🐇I picked this special day to have my beloved Tuna Tartare 😊 Always so fresh, healthy and full of flavor... And as always, easy to make. Enjoy!
1 pound (or approx. 500g) Tuna portions or steaks, cut in small pieces
1 avocado Haas, cut in cubes
1 mango, ripe, cut in small cubes
1/2 red onion, chopped
1/2 medium tomato, chopped
1 tsp Sriracha sauce, or any other hot sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 handful fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1 handful fresh parsley, finely chopped
Fresh parsley and sesame seeds to garnish
Ring to assemble
Cut the tuna in small cubes. Add to a bowl.
Add mango, red onion, tomato, chopped herbs, Sriracha and soy sauce. Add sesame oil and mix well.
Add the avocado cubes and chives. Add salt & pepper and a handful of chopped cilantro and parsley. Mix well and let it rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Set the mold in the middle of the plate. Start adding the tuna mix in spoonfuls. Press it down gently before adding more spoonfuls until it reached the rim of the ring.
Press it down gently.
Carefully lift the mold straight up.
Garnish with parsley leaves and drops of balsamic glaze. Sprinkle sesame seeds and it is ready to serve.
Enjoy! 👩🍳 🐋 🥑
