Car Conversations // Last night’s discussion involved friendships and some random chatter abt driving/cars. Some of my most memorable friendships were built on a lot of conversations in the car. Late night drives for some food, long road trips or parked up at their driveway till 4 am (with foggy windscreens). I am thankful for those moments and the friends that I made.
Tell me darling,
Why it is that you ache?
Is it the fear of not being enough?
Is it the fear of being abandoned when you’ve given it your all?
Is it the fear of not being caught when you decide to fall?
Was it the way they left you?
Was it the way they lied?
Was it the nights you spent in bed under the covers and cried?
Tell me sweetheart,
What broke you?
What made your skin so rough?
Dear, tell me where in your bones
the pain resides,
lead me to the crevices
Hidden in your eyes
Tell me love,
Where does it hurt?
Where in your heart are the scars?
Where in your soul is it bruised?
Is it recent? Or a collection over time?
Darling, I want to know
I want to dig deep into your bones
Tell me about every break
Take me to every rift
Let me in. Let me see.
Let me sift sift sift
I want to dig deeper and deeper.
I want to know every side
Lead me to your pain
You no longer have to hide — archaeologist
