I hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend! 🐰
I’ve been pretty busy the last few weeks mainly in preparation for our up coming trip to South America! I can’t believe we leave this weekend! 😱
So be prepared for some stories and snaps of all the cool plants I find over there 😁🙌🌿 #bamboo#macramé#holidaytime
Philodendron plowmanii 🌿 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unfortunately this little beauty arrived to me in very rough shape last fall, but thankfully it has been growing slowly - but steadily - ever since! It took what felt like forever for it to acclimate and really settle into my space, but that has made each new leaf so exciting and gratifying. I can’t wait to see it big one day, but for now - it’s as cute and cheerful as can be 😁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Light: Bright, indirect light
Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry
Soil: My current mix: 1 part @promixgardening premium potting soil, 1 part worm castings, 1 part bark, 1 part perlite
I spotted this little wooden end table at @marshalls yesterday and told myself I didn’t need it. Turns out. . . I needed it! I got home and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Also, bandit insisted on being in the shot so here’s a photo of the little guy.
For the folks who celebrate this day, Happy Easter & PTL that the tomb was rolled away 🙌🏾. For those who did not, I hope your Sunday was filled with love, laughter and rest 🧡. No lectures or caps from me today, nugget heads! Love y’all!
16. Rhipsalis puniceodiscus
Affectionately known in the family as “Hangly Dangly”, I was given this character for my birthday when he was just a wee babe over 18 months ago.
Unlike other things in my garden, including other members of the rhipsalis family, I find Mr Dangly to be absolutely bombproof. He loves a drink and rewards me by constantly shooting out new growth. He seems to like being pretty moist but is happy quite close to the window.
I was very excited last month when he produced his first flower. This plant is one of only a couple in the Jungalow who are reaching maturity and giving me such rewards. I’ve also recently delved into propagating with reasonable success although I’m yet to pot any of Mr Dangly’s progenies as the roots seem quite feeble.
We’re enjoying a true Indian summer in Sydney which is lulling me into a false sense of security. How are you preparing for the new season where you are?
Snow Queens! A favourite over the weekend and at only $15.00 each we can see why. We’re closed today as we have to restock from a very busy long weekend. Thank you to all our lovely customers for making it such an awesome few days! 🐰🌵 now to spend today catching up with friends and family and eating lots of chocolate 💕
Happy Easter everyone! Okay, how many people reading this right now believe in the synchronicities of life? In other words that the things that happen in our lives are "Meaningful Coincidences." All based on a series of events that are designed to help us solve our daily problems, teach new things and open up our minds to the endless possibilities of what GOD has in store for for us. Synchronicities then can be considered a "Beacon, a signal of sorts" to help guide us and let us know we are on the right path and are listening to DIVINE guidance. 🌸🌸🌸
In my recent post of that gorgeous reading room on March 27, I mentioned I had computer issues. That I said we're fixed after using various methods. Unfortunately, just 2 days after my Computer started to crash again. Of course! I was completely baffled. I was disappointed that I was unable to fix the problem. An additional week went by still no solution. Finally, my intuition told me to not do anything drastic like wiping my computer clean and starting from scratch. Everytime I was connected to the INTERNET the computer would crash. So, I decided to speak to a local computer technician, who suggested I take my computer to the library to see if it would crash. Guess what? It didn't! Unfortunately, I was stuck again. My computer crashes when I am home. So, what could be wrong? Around 4 days ago. I decided to take a look at my MODEM box everything looked fine. There was another smaller BOX that seemed INSIGNIFICANT called NETGEAR. I decided to Turn it off. Then RESTARTED it. What do you think happened? No more BLUE SCREEN Computer crashes!💫 🔥🔥I wanted to post this so that if you are experiencing these problems. You don't have to spend hundreds of $$$'s on Computer repair cost. It takes patience and a process of narrowing down a list of potential problems. I nearly WIPED my computer clean. That would not be good at all for me or anyone else. The key here is: PATIENCE & INTUITION.
Happy Easter! 🐰
Who else has also free tomorrow!? 🙋🏻♀️ Love Easter Mondays 💜
Hope you are spending/have spent a great time ☀️
I grew up in a culture where Easter is a very important time in terms of (catholic) religion, so I missed the point of hiding and finding Eggs 🐰😹
Now I understand this tradition as a chance to spend some quality time with your loved ones and most important, oneself 💚
Oh, this is me, thinking too deep again, but those Calatheas inspire me! 🤷🏻♀️
This guy was supposed to be easy to take care of but I am seeing some yellow and very brown leaves...the other side is worse. Is it too much sun, water, or both? Any plant pros out there wanna help a girl out?
