You will certainly feel the burn with the exercise!! 🔥🔥
One of my favorite exercises for clients recovering from shoulder injury to work on scapular stabilization while incorporating some distal mobility.
Being able to control your scapula and keep it activated while you move your extremity in various planes is essential for optimal function.
This exercise targets the rotator cuff musculature while integrating a concentric, isometric, and eccentric component.
Also helps you to really focus on keeping the upper traps relaxed throughout, especially towards the end.
Keep good posture throughout with your chin tucked and core activated.
2 rounds: 10 reps on each side in each direction. Start with light weight. Trust me!
Last night it got Really “Real” up at University Mall, where demo begins on the stores and concourse located between the main western entrance and JCPenneys. This is where B. Dalton Booksellers, Ruby Tuesday, Petland, and Old Navy were once located, among other retailers.

Video notes: 2018 Acro Training (some 2017 sprinkled in). Sorry if it’s long.... actually sorry not sorry.
Tips on building your Acro practice:
• Go at your own pace, try not to compare yourself to others. Everyone is good at something and everyone sucks at something, too. No one is perfect so get that out of your head!
• Invest in your practice, get professional training. You’ll safe yourself time, money and your body.
• Start to listen if your self talk is base on actual safety fears or just inner-self-doubt. Can you differentiate between the two?
Personal thoughts (bc I’m trying to “share my story” more, ugh)... Welp, this injury has given myself ample time to edit & review old material. It’s mental training and an odd sense of accomplishment. For real, it’s something I always “said” I would do — edit the clips “later”... Then a year passes and my phone is full of unedited training videos of the same skill, stumbling and tumbling over and back 😂. Anyways — I’ve been so hard on myself about everything and anything lately .... but this video makes me proud. Progress can creep up on you without noticing. Pat yourself on the back (and take a break!). —
Moving forward I’ll delete all my old training videos and let this one stay. It’s time to get creative, starting with teamwork and good sportsmanship like a true athlete.... cuz that’s what it’s all about. Hokey pokey 🤸♀️
