  • I went again to @tsujiri_vancouver, since we had an afternoon reservation. Debated on getting the afternoon tea set since it's the only unique-afternoon menu item, but in the end I didn't want to spend money on a dish that I could be allergic to. Instead, we chose to get the unagi ochazuke and the udon. These two items are on both the afternoon and dinner menus. The ochazuke was quite good and I prefered that over the udon because it was rich and had depth in flavor. The udon was okay, and was very light so it could be enjoyed anytime of the year. Also this trip, I tried their hojicha parfait and it was so good 👌👌👌. I have confirmed for myself that I am a hojicha fan rather than a matcha fan. I like the earthy flavor that matcha doesn't provide. If I ever get a reservation again, I will definitely try the third and last sakura parfait.   • Trying out the traditional tonkotsu ramen at @marufukuramenfrisco - very rich broth and very generous with the toppings. Also the DX version of the tonkotsu bowl comes with a nice thick slice of super melt in your mouth chasu pork. 🍜😋
My only wish was that it could have been spicier, but it's rare to find a restaurant that can make food spicy enough for me. 🤷‍♀️🌶
