Research shows that troubled sleep or shorting yourself on sleep leads to changes in the brain that cause irritability, increased appetite and cravings for high-calorie foods, heightened sensivity to pain and, as we all know, fatigue.

Unfortunately, sleep tends to worsen in your premenstrual phase (the 6 days before your period) due to plunging estrogen. Why? One reason is that as estrogen drops, it can drag down levels of serotonin in the brain, which helps regulate your sleep cycle.

So, what can you do?

For starters, go to bed at a time that will help you get the recommended seven to eight hours of shut-eye. No staying up late to binge-watch a show or get just 10 more minutes of work in. (Save that for your Week 2 when you can get away with these antics and still have energy to burn the next day thanks to high-and-rising estrogen.)

Then, do all you can to make sure you have a better night's sleep: Try meditation, yoga, gentle stretching. Skip the evening news and scary TV shows. Dim the lights about two hours before bedtime to help your body churn out the right amount of sleep-promoting melatonin. And, avoid caffeine late in the day and alcohol at night (sorry, but it interrupts sleep!) and sip soothing chamomile tea instead.

The first time you embark on a 'prep' diet, hungry will probably be something you've never had to deal with in your life. Whenever you have been hungry, you will have eaten, and probably eaten until you're full. This is where most people struggle with prep, as they simply give into this habitual behaviour.

When you embark on a diet to get lean for a shoot/show, you are quickly reminded of what actual hunger is. But in that instance, you know for dam sure the diet is working. It will be something you simply have to deal with and ultimately have to ignore. After a while it really becomes easy to ignore, if anything you get used to feeling that way.
#
You can try to eat all the green veg in the world, or a variety of other methods but in general, you'll more than likely never feel full/satiated whilst on prep. This I feel adds to the sense of gratification at the end of a long diet, when you didn't give in, you have a sense of pride that others can't really relate to unless they have done it.
#
Not giving in on those days where you really can't tell if you need a sh**e or a haircut, they make it all worthwhile

We often don't realize it, but many of us turn to food a lot of the times when we're feeling certain emotions...

Whether we're feeling happy, sad, excited, anxious, nervous, etc., it can leave us reaching for food.
.
Emotional hunger differs from physical hunger in these ways:
👉🏻It can come up even right after eating
👉🏻It's a sudden, not gradual hunger
👉🏻It continues even when we're full because it's not a response to actual hunger
👉🏻It involves cravings for specific foods, usually foods high in both sugar and fat
👉🏻It often leads to mindless eating

Stay in beast mode and Streamline the diet!!!... when I started almost 2 years ago I committed to all natural training (no supplements, nothing)
Food is a source of energy, I have been using it as source of comfort.
GLUTTONY = GUTTONY🤔🤯 Food as a comfort, can also make us lazy, feel heavy/bloated, have digestive problems, on and on... Used as source of energy, well it is just that keeps us HUNGRY!!!, through education I found the amount of food I need to take in (calories 2000 to 2500) along with my workout regimen to create the balance needed in this aspect of life... if I can do it...
