Tom bit his lip thinking. "Yeah. Yeah I really do." He laughed.
You stepped aside to let him in.
When he got inside you awkwardly closed the door so your back was faced towards it.
He smiled at you not knowing what to say, he wanted to kissyou so badly.
You cleared your throat and went to your TV room.
"I'm going to shower real quick, you watch whatever you want." You threw him the remote and he barley caught it.
You grabbed your already set pajamas which were, small booty shorts, and a long sleeved shirt that didn't fit you.
"Uh- ok." He said nervously and sat on your couch.
"Don't touch anything."
You left to your bathroom, and looked in the mirror.
"What are you doing?" You asked quietly to yourself.
You took some freezing water and splashed your face. Then wiped your eyes quickly so the water didn't slide into them.
You undressed and got in the shower.
You made it really hot so you could see the steam rising to your ceiling. You took a deep breath of the steam and felt it in your lungs.
You ran your shampoo through your hair when you heard someone came inside the room, and felt a breeze of cold air.
You held your breath so the only sound was the water.
"Tom?" You said slowly.
"Y/n I know you don't want me here and I will respect you so just know that I am going to leave. But before I do I just wanted to tell you that, I am not used to having real feelings for someone, so having feelings for you so quickly is weird. The last time I had a real relationship it didn't end well and I told myself I would never do it again, so- so I was scared. I'm sorry." He started to leave.
"Yeah?" He said weakly.
"C-can you hand me a towel?"
"Sure?" He grabbed one and handed it over the top of the shower.
You wrapped it around your body and walked out of the shower.
"Don't go." You said quietly, "it's going to be ok, we'll talk."
He waited outside and you quickly got dressed.
He was in the TV room, you sat by him.
"I'm not going to ask you to tell me about your last relationship because I knew that must be hard, so just tell me what you want us to be."
"I-i don't know. I'm just so confused I seriously don't have anything to say except for what I already said."
I love it when 18th/19th century villages are recreated. It is amazing how self sufficient those people were, and how far we have come since then. It was good to get back to my Dutch roots and see how he would have lived here in Zaanse Schans. These historic windmills were relocated here to help preserve some of this history. Not only do you get to see how the rooms are set up in the windmill, but you also see how meat was preserved, how they stayed warm, what they did for fun, and what the Hazards of working with windmills are. It is a touristic spot, but I appreaciated learning about how these gentle giants help make pigments, chocolate, flour, and even cut wood. They are clean energy machines that I hope will continue to be used for centuries to come. --------------------------------------------
Have you seen a Dutch Windmill in person? What surprised your most about them? --------------------------------------------
