...She remembered the sand dunes having been very tall and wide in circumference. They were set far back from the shore and some had vegetation growing that could provide shade. The sand itself was almost white and reflected the sun’s light and heat to the extreme. Now as she revisited the beach where she grew up the sand dunes were all but gone, having been worn down by the dune buggies that had become so popular.
