  • January is #ThyroidAwarenessMonth and what better day to bring this up than today since I just got a call from my doctor with the results of my bloodwork 🤣

After almost 7 years of dealing with #autoimmune issues, I’ve learned to trust my body and the signals it’s giving me. And I’ve been getting some solid thyroid symptoms the last couple weeks! Freezing cold 🥶, exhausted 😴, super dry skin, achey joints, and more hair loss than normal. It’s easy to write off those symptoms- it’s winter, I’m always tired, etc. But I got my levels checked yesterday and found out this afternoon they were way off. 🤦‍♀️ So I’m doubling my medication and will check again in a month. 🙌

It’s frustrating to deal with flare ups, but I’m glad I caught it early and am treating it accordingly.😁 I will also be tightening up my diet (no more sneaking gluten 😭) and continuing the exercise plan I’m proud to so far be sticking to this month: hitting the gym 2-3x/week, a yoga class/week, and some stretching/yoga at home. .
