The team news is in!
Ederson starts in goal, protected by CB partners Laporte and Kompany, with the latter leading the team tonight as captain of course.
Zinchenko returns at LB, with Walker his opposite number on the right.
The midfield trio appears rather defensive, with Gundogan and Fernandinho imaginably staying deeper whilst David Silva gets forward.
Sterling and Bernardo start on the flanks, Aguero of course leading the line.
Sané is again excluded from the XI, which I still don't quite understand.
Foden also makes the bench after scoring the winner against Spurs at the weekend.
De Bruyne's injury rules him out of a squad place, and Muric, Danilo, Otamendi, Mahrez and Jesus make up the rest of a formidable bench.
C'mon City! 💙
#menotti#guardiola#bielsa
Firstly, reports suggest that Man City are willing to trigger Rodri's £60m release clause at Atletico Madrid as cover for Fernandinho at CDM.
I think that this would be a good move, well worth breaking our transfer record as we are desperate for cover, particularly if Gundogan leaves in the summer.
City are also rumoured to be ready to rival Man United in pursuit of Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes is the club's top scorer this season, with a fee in the region of £80m being thrown around.
For me, this is ridiculous. We have more than enough cover at CAM and spending £80m on a 28-year old who isn't going to dislodge any of our starters seems pointless. It's a no from me.
Finally, the most bizzare report of the day, Sportsmole claim that City are 'considering' a player plus cash deal for Neymar, with Aguero and £110m heading to PSG.
This is a sensational report if nothing else. Complete nonsense in my opinion, as Neymar would probably just halt the progress of players such as Sané and Sterling, and wouldn't be a huge improvement, though I don't doubt Neymar's quality. Losing Aguero and that amount of money as well also seems unbelievable, and so I expect nothing to come of these rumours.

Manchester City supposedly 'want' Real Madrid's Marcos Llorente as a replacement for Benjamin Mendy, according to Manchester Evening News among other sources.
Llorente is primarily a Central Midfielder, however, and so could be seen as a replacement for either Gundogan or Fernandinho.
He is rumoured to cost around €65m (£56m)
Personally, I think this is a bit of a strange one, and the price is very high considering his lack of game time. I'd rather we went for Atletico's Rodri.
