  • Let your curiosity wander unleashed! With @igor.bear / “My name is Igor and I am a landscape photographer based in Germany.

As a young child I have always been curious about what it’s like at the very end of the cities, how people in the neighboring country live like, or what’s happening in a random Indian village for instance. So, wondering about life has always been an important part of me.

As an adult, my curiosity grew more and more as time progressed. I always needed to move, to explore, to see and to empathize with people. It gives me an incredibly good feeling when I deepen the culture of the travel destination and understand it in the end.

At some point came the idea to capture the whole thing and decided to buy a GoPro. I started to record the moments with my partners on video. From this I cut small travel videos, which were ultimately shown only in the close circle of friends.

Around Christmas 2017, I decided to buy a system camera, the “Sony Alpha 6500.” At the time I had absolutely no idea about photography. It was exciting though, I wanted to understand and implement things quickly. I did not only want to capture videos but also photo moments that we experienced together on our travels with my partner.

I think the extraordinary thing about the whole thing is that I suddenly discovered the interest of photography. Photography gives me so much pleasure and most importantly, a huge energy and motivation to learn and keep exploring.

Instagram plays a significant role in this regard. It is my greatest source of inspiration! I can spend hours looking at photos, trying to understand the key ingredients of each image. At the beginning I tried to replicate the photos I saw on social media. I believe this is a good way to start learning the basics. However, nowadays I am trying to develop my own style. After all, you need to find your own point of view to see what you have achieved with it. Practice is known to do the trick!

So, tell me, am I finding a unique style?” 🙂 Special greetings to @igor.bear for sharing these wonderful images with us!
