I find nothing better than taking the time to do some sketching ✍️ One day I'll learn how to balance my life so illustrating and art making takes priority👩🏼🎨 For those that don't know, I tried to do a 100 day art challenge. I epically failed and speedily deleted the seperate account because I was ashamed and embarrassed by the bad work I uploaded just for the sake of it.
As it turns out, working a full time job with a near 2 hour commute each way and having french lessons everyday ** whilst trying to fulfil a pipe dream since childhood of becoming an illustrator is ridiculously hard and leaves little time to make anything worthwhile. There's a reason the daily routines of great geniuses like Dickens and Darwin were made up of more walking, drinking and dining rather than actual working! To me that schedule sounds like my ideal romantic date and I like the idea that the two Charles' were essentially wining and dining their creativity.
Anyway, this was my very long winded way of saying that though the 100 day challenge didn't work for me, it hasn't dampened my love for producing art, even if it comes to being in these rare moments. Let's hope there's more of them! **(plus trying to keep up with the shambles that is politics, whilst also superficially coping by sending memes to friends)
