After zooming down to Salisbury and back in a new Vauxhall Corsa hire car, reality set in today when I had to return it 😢 but at £15 a day to hire, it is uneconomic to keep it.
So, we have had to buy a cheap runaround whilst we wait for the insurance company to complete the write off and buy back of our Audi.
Funds are REALLY limited and I feel like we are borrowing money left right and centre off people, but at just over £300 this Rover 45 will do just the job, and should get us the money back when we sell it on.
Its old...its basic...its heavy to drive...but its alright for the money, and when you live in the middle of nowhere with no footpaths and no bus route, you have no choice.
One day, I will buy a car of my choice, a car of my dreams in the colour and spec I desire but until then, this and then eventually the Audi will have to do.
Well haven't I done a 180 turn from last week!?
Sick as a dog... Went to the docs today... he prescribes me antibiotics that's in the same family as the one I'm allergic to and says 'most people can tolerate it'
Well sir... you don't know what the hell my body has been through and I am not 'most people'
So this week I have eaten well
I have eaten junk
I have eaten donuts
I have eaten maccas
I haven't done a minute of exercise
I've had to have the whole week off work
But today I got soak in the sun
I'm just getting through day by day
And that's ok
This is my reality
‼️REAL LIFE‼️ And it’s okay 💁🏽♀️ Somedays I just don’t want coffee and this is lunch. OR days I just don’t want full meals so I usually pack snacks and grab a coffee at the stand in the hospital. Was home for a long weekend and haven’t had the energy to go get groceries yet (helllloooooo anxiety 🤪) Today this is what I wanted so today this is what I am having. The energy drink is rare...the chips are an every other week occurrence lol. Everything in moderation 👍🏽 Not pictured is my 40oz water bottle and a @kitehillfoods yogurt squeeze I downed in the elevator. Feel ready for the next case!Happy Tuesday everyone! #lunch#lunchtime#snacks#saltandvinegarchips#energydrink#gettingby#everythinginmoderation#ithappens
These are just my thoughts coupled with an unappealing photo so they won’t mean much to the part of you that’s looking for perfectly curated, quip and depth, but these words matter to me:
I’m back to writing again.
Under a pen name that you’ve probably never known.
I’m back to dreamin’.
Tryin’ to believe that I haven’t been counted out.
I try so hard to make myself believe that.
It doesn’t feel like the truth, most of the time
but every day I’m makin’ it.
Sometimes, getting by is easy and, other days, it’s harder than I let on.
But, one thing I’m grateful for
is the rising and setting of the sun.
And knowing that any moment could mean
that my life has truly just begun.
'A tailored approach was important understanding the fact that a portfolio approach to making a living exists. While some research has shown that vocational training was not very effective, there was a suggestion to revisit vocational training and ensuring that the skills taught are market demand driven.'

It was GLORIOUS! I didn’t think I’d be doing this this early and I will limit her screen time but omg it was so nice to get some things done around the house today!! She is SO busy right now and into everything!! She can play by herself but the moment I need to do something, like put away the groceries, she makes a bee line for me and is glued to me!! How does she know????? Haha. So today, for my sanity, I gave her some snacks and let her watch YouTube nursery rhymes and it was the little break I needed today. We gotta do want we gotta do.

Are you asking the right questions???
When I stopped asking “How long is it going to take to lose the weight?” and started asking “Am I willing to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to see the change?” I saw the change...
When my coach asked me “Are you kinda, sorta interested in making a change, or are you COMMITTED to making a change?” I realized I had never really committed before...
‘Cause “kinda, sorta” doing something, is kinda, sorta gonna get you results...
People ask me all the time how to get started and how to stay motivated and honestly, while it’s a difficult journey, it’s a simple answer.
You just start and never give up. You can scream, cry, swear 😮, but never give up...
When you join a group of women that have the mantras “you can do hard things” and “you can do so much more than you think you can”...you start to believe you can...
So maybe instead of asking if you can afford to make yourself a priority...ask if you can afford NOT to...???
Know what else?? If you want to change, more than you want to stay the same, you can do it too 🙌!!

'Solving or even curbing the youth unemployment crisis requires full participation and collaboration among key stakeholders namely government, private sector and young people. A shift in focus from supply side policies which essentially seek to prepare young people for the labor market to a greater emphasis on demand side policies.'

I started filming footage for this video before I'd even written the song. I didn't know why I was doing it. I just did it. I became increasingly interested in the way a #lookdown (or #lookup) can tell a story, and the story keeps shifting while the fundamental part stays the same: I AM HERE. But everything else changes. When I shot the parts of me singing, I wanted to show a similar thing: I AM HERE. But every day I am a little different, tired, sad, put together, naked(ish). Then one day I saw Karla Gallardo's time lapse footage of the ocean and it all fell into place: WHAT IS MORE SHIFTING-YET-THE-SAME THAN THE OCEAN??? Always the same in it's THEREness, but always different. Always changing. Sometimes the thing changes and sometimes we change how we see the thing. Send me your #lookdowns ... I wanna see you move through the world. .
