Sometimes being an adult is good. I can have what I want for breakfast. I’m blessed to have a food wizard for a friend (thanks @foxyn3rdlifter ) I’m having gluten free chicken parm for breakfast. I wish I would have taken a picture before I started eating... it’s so good #adulting#breakfast#getinmybelly
Do you really have to drink alcohol to have fun on a night out?
Alcohol is a very interesting topic in that its use is so pervasive and widely accepted in society that for many people party and alcohol have become one and the same.
As with with most social conventions there are many misconceptions around alcohol, for example “you can’t have fun without drinking” or from a health perspective “it’s only unhealthy if you overdo it”.
It therefore surprises a lot of people to hear that alcohol is toxic to many organ systems in the body and is a carcinogen causing cancers of the oropharynx, esophagus, liver, pancreas and more.
Alcohol also causes over 3 million deaths per year, which is around 5% of all deaths, over 10% of deaths in people between 20-40 years, and on top of that plays a negative role in over 200 diseases!
Some people also still believe that a little alcohol is better than none, or the so called “french paradox”, however research has shown there is no “paradox” and the scientific evidence says zero is best.
So if you want to prioritize your health while still having fun and being social, then consider learning to have fun without it. Going out with friends who are also sober can actually be way more fun than if you were drunk! 😁
1st I heard someone saying non-stop 'This is good. It's so good.' Then I realised someone just finished half the tin of cookies that I intended to keep for CNY. 😳
This is something I won't understand. Not a cookies lover. 😅
