So last week Tuesday on the 11th, me and my friend Haidee was looking for Jerry's but our GPS was not working well so we ended up next this McDonald's. I frustrated 😤 by this point, hunger struck said to her; let's just go to McDonald's... 🤔 Anyway we go in order get our meal sit down.. By window facing down Long Street. FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS MOST OF THE OPEN AREAS TO SIT HAD SOME SORT OF LEFTOVER TRACES OF OF SOMEONE PREVIOUSLY SITTING THERE.. OK..... Then to my right one of those soft round coloured chairs had a black plastic bag over it which I failed to capture as someone was sitting close by it. Ok so we both needed the restroom 🚽 and check out what the menz restroom 🚽 looked like..... 😲 I push open the door and I'm hit with a strong odor.. And I'm like that.. urinal looks out of order but still in use.. Plus it has a bucket under it to catch leakage 🤯 so skip that I go in by the cubicle.. Same smell toilet paper on the floor, THEIR NOT BUSY AT ALL OK. So finish my biz turn around as I just pushed open the door WITH MY SHOULDER before and then I'm hit with how do I open or get out of this cubicle 😮😣😯😫 so I had to I had to put my finger into that broken slot to escape.. More then enough space for a little basin in the restroom but it has a public restroom feel as you wash you hand where everyone is sitting in view.
I PERSONALLY WASN'T LOVIN IT....... 😕
Given it is pride month I thought this would be apt.. Is being gay in your genes?
Or, do some genes at least predispose you to being gay? Research has identified 2 genes linked to male homosexuality. This doesn’t mean if you carry the gene variant you will be gay or that if you don’t you won’t be. But it is a piece in the puzzle nonetheless. One gene in particular influences thyroid function and fits suitably with the observation that Graves disease (a thyroid condition) is more common in gay men. Another interesting observation is that gay men are more likely to have an older brother. The reason behind this isn’t immediately obvious but recent research indicates the mothers antibodies may be linked.
We usually produce antibodies in response to infection. However, pregnant women can also produce antibodies against fetal molecules. These maternal antibodies may impact subsequent pregnancies. The mother’s of gay sons had the highest levels of antibodies against a protein involved in neuronal communication. Women with straight sons had lower levels and women with no sons had the least.
I am sure there are a large number of influences when it comes to sexual orientation but it is certainly interesting to see your genes play a role too. (No research on lesbians soz). PS you can actually buy a DNA test to see if you’re gay ..so if you’re wondering hahaha 🌈
