I love trying out new sheet masks and masks in general. I’m testing some wash off type packs these days, but it feels so nice to put sheet mask on my face after a whole day. Sooo relaxing! Today I used Herb Garden Mask Pack with Lavender from Naisture as my skin needed some calming and soothing.

In terms of texture, fit, wear etc. the Lavender mask is very similar to the Rosemary sheet mask from the same line I reviewed not too long ago. There are some difference in IL though. The Lavender mask contains:
- papaya fruit extract – it’s an emollient that creates an occlusive layer on the skin, improves penetration of active substances through the epidermis, makes skin smoother. It also has brightening, firming, anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties;
- eucalyptus leaf extract – it has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal properties. It prevents and heals skin inflammation and is good for dealing with breakouts. It reduces sebum production;
- centella asiatica extract;
- lavender extract (100ppm) – lavender extract can be tricky for some. It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, it aids in the healing of burns, wounds and it may be used in the treatment of acne, but at the same time it can be sensitizing (less than the lavender oil) and shows damaging effects in concentration as low as 0,25% (the lavender extract concentration in the sheet mask is 0,01%, so way below 0,25%). I haven’t observed any side effects after using the mask.
There’s also shea butter, allantoin and panthenol in the essence.

The mask doesn’t have a lavender scent, but a subtle flower scent. The essence is creamy – I really like richer essences in sheet masks as they tend to be more moisturizing. The lavender mask left my skin nicely moisturized, plumped, calmed down and smooth, but I prefer the Rosemary version as the effects were better. I find the lavender mask very solid though, so if you have a chance to try it, definitely don’t hesitate to do so. The mask is available at naisture.com for $2. Till April 22 you can get 20% off of your entire purchase + free shipping on orders over $20.
