This is what gets me up in the morning. A high school coach who bought my new Speed Testing Mastery course asked me to work with his team to get them started on the program. It was an awesome opportunity to teach some young athletes about speed and work with coaches who are making a difference. In just two hours, we made tremendous progress and set up the whole program for the next two months (see the link in my bio for the Speed Training Mastery course). Thanks @mister_carter and Oak Park HS for having me out and working with these great kids every day.
Its easy for parents to blame the coach when things dont go as you'd like. Blaming the coach may make your child feel justified for a moment, but it will never help them fix what went wrong. If making excuses becomes a habit, before you know it , it will become a cancer that infects not only sports but every area of your child's life. #nfl#getrecruited#d1atheletes#football#hudl#footballtraining
Ever feel like your ankles are made of glass..👣
If you’ve ever sprained or even rolled your ankle just a little bit, you know how frustrating it can be, to get back playing..💀
Inversion sprains, when your ankle rolls over on the outside is a far more common injury than rolling to the inside
Swelling, adhesions, build up of scar tissue are all symptoms of ankle sprain that inevitably lead to loss of ankle range of motion ⏮
Missing ankle range of motion can be a source of hip and knee problems 👽
How it happens❓
Any sport that involves quick changes of direction or the dreaded stepping on, or landing someone else’s foot 😡
What can we do❓
Strengthen evertor muscles
How can we do it❓
✅ By elevating the inside of the foot and biasing the weight to the lateral/outside of the foot, you are working on your balance as well as sterengthening the everter muscle.
✅By having to react and manage the weight of the med ball while balancing on the uneven surface, you will also improve your proprioception while improving the resilience and capacity of your ankles to handle the challenges they’re going to encounter playing sports 🏀 ⚽️ 🏈 ⛹️♀️
@cray_sean making this look too easy !
