  • A friend took me to @corelifeeatery last week. I’m particularly obsessed with the ahi tuna bowl!! So much goodness. I am just drowning under stress right now. I’m definitely eating my feelings.   • I was super excited to try this new independent after seeing it on the @independentbirmingham  gram and I was not dissapointed.

The menu is pretty small but the big flavour combinations means the food is by no means inadequate. 
I absolutely love bao buns - slightly sweet, fluffy as a cloud and full of flavour and a combination of texture 😍😍 I had the vegan salt and pepper tofu one today which also had aubergine in it. Literally heaven in a plate. I could have happily eaten 5 of them! 
My friend and I also shared a salt and pepper rice bowl to go alongside it. Again it was full of different textures including some pickled veg and a cured egg yolk (you can ask for it without the egg yolk if you're vegan). The tofu was cooked really well and the rice was super sticky, just the way I like it. It was pretty filling and they recommend you either have two bao buns or a rice bowl. 
Service was super friendly and prices are really reasonable. Excellent lunch or dinner spot. Can't wait to go here again for my next bao bun fix!
