🌿What’s your favorite trailing plant?🌿

My #stringofhearts is about 5 ft long. I’ll get a full picture of her one day. To my delight, she grew and bloomed all winter. Her growth has slowed down a bit but she’s still going! I don’t have favorite plants, but if I were to lose her, I don’t know if I would make it myself 😂. At one point she was losing her color and needed watering a lot more frequently than normal. Turns out she had some mildew issues. So I repotted her in terra cotta with fresh soil - cactus soil, perlite (drainage) and worm castings (organic fertilizer). She’s loving it!

💚💚💚
Care tips: She thrives sitting next to a west facing window. Water when mature hearts are flimsy and easy to bend. When I do water her, it’s a full and thorough water. I get all of her “strands” misted as well. Keep them in terra cotta if you tend to overwater. Honestly, the less I look at her, the more she seems to thrive. I tend to over-love my plants to their death.

Pest control: About once a month I spray her down with a solution of half water and half rubbing alcohol. It has not harmed her at all or stunted her growth! I’ll never get over these plant hashtags.
