“TRUST ME” - This was a great post that got my attention actually from someone else, but I couldn’t have agreed with more - so credit to @daltonfranke 👌🏼⠀

When someone is giving you advice on something to do, or to change a certain habit and you ask why?...⠀
.⠀
And they simply respond with “trust me” it shows a lack of true understanding as to why you should do it/ Make that change. Or simply laziness ⠀
.⠀
And if you don’t understand WHY you are making a change, chances are you won’t stick to it because you don’t see the value/ importance in it⠀
.⠀
If I advise someone to do something, I make the effort to educate and emphasise the WHY behind it so that my clients understand the reason we are focusing doing it, and see the importance in it⠀
.⠀
“YOU HAVE TO” - with experience as a coach you learn that there are often numerous ways to achieve a given outcome. And that you need to cater to the individual persons situation⠀
.⠀
Yes There are principles that have to be respected and obeyed (ie. calorie deficit for fat loss) but I’ll never tell someone they HAVE TO eat brekky, eat a certain number of meals per day, cut carbs, fast, train every day, go high carb, low carb etc⠀
.⠀
When you understand what is truly important, you can be flexible in your approach to achieve results in a sustainable way⠀

If someone is telling you YOU HAVE TO do/ eat xyz then alarm bells should go off. Chances are they don’t really understand how what they’re talking about works⠀

These days I find myself more often saying “IT DEPENDS” and “IT DOESN’T REALLY⠀
MATTER” 😂😂😂⠀

Do I have to eat breakfast?⠀
.⠀
Should I eat 3 or 6 meals a day?⠀
.⠀
Should I do fasted cardio?⠀
.⠀
Should I take this supplement?⠀
.⠀
Should I fast?⠀
.⠀
Should I go high carb or high fat?⠀
.⠀
The answer to all of these are quite literally either it depends, or it doesn’t matter lol⠀

  • Good morning! Push session @colossusgymwillenhall done. The warm up was hard on the legs this morning following leg day yesterday😳but I got it done. Still rubbish at skipping though so finished with another 100 single unders at the end of my session. Practice makes perfect as they say. Breakfast was amazing this morning if I do say so myself! See the second picture. That will definitely tide me over until lunch which will be salmon salad. Got some running around to do today and lots of meals to prep for while we are away so better crack on.
