I think it is pretty safe to say that we want to be the best version of ourselves around our kids, right? We want our kids to feel success, be healthy, and experience great relationships... Yet, we have 1000 things pulling us in different directions. Work, bills, cleaning, prepping meals, going grocery shopping, taking care of our spouses, and making sure our little ones don't fall off of the stairs.... It all adds up.

Yet, you take zero time for you... The most important part of the puzzle. You feel tired and you have little energy to play with your kids, you feel uncomfortable in your own skin which affects your relationship, and your lack of self-confidence affects your career. Hmm.. See, I feel like our kids need to see us improving this stuff. They need to see us take care of ourselves, have good relationships, and experience success. It isn't about being at the same weight that you were when you were in college. It isn't about climbing to the highest paid position... And it is definitely not having a perfect marriage.

It is about making sure you are putting intentional efforts toward those areas in your life. So that your kids can see what it takes to actually hit goals, improve relationships, and be healthy.

If you don't eat veggies, your kids probably won't either... If you don't exercise, your kids probably won't either...

I go through this all of the time and we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

Sure, I exercise and eat right. I take care of myself and I try to do my best to improve my relationships and be successful in anything I do.

However, my BIGGEST weakness is trying to be present. With my kids, my spouse, friends.. With anyone! I feel like I do not have control of when I am or when I am not present. I am aware of this and am trying to work on it. It is so important to me and i want to be present with everyone around me. So, the question is am I doing anything about it?
