ยท1 T + 1 tsp dried lavender buds*, crushed with pestle and mortar
ยท2 tsp vanilla extract *Look for "USDA Food Grade" or "Culinary Approved Lavender"

#Filling:
ยท4 lg eggs
ยท1ยฝc granulated sugar
ยทยผc + 2 T all-purpose flour
ยทยฝc lemon juice
ยท 2 tsp lemon zest

Optional Garnishes:
ยทpowdered sugar
ยทcandied lemon slices (I made mine homemade)
ยทdried lavender buds

#Instructions :
1.)Preheat 350ยฐF oven. Lighting spray a 9"x13" baking dish with cooking spray *optional: Cut parchment a bit longer than pan to use as handles to lift bars out. Butter or spray parchment; set aside.

2.)Beat butter & sugars together till light and fluffy, 3-5 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl, & add flour, salt, lavender & vanilla. Beat on low until dough comes together in crumbles.

3.)Dump mixture into prepared baking dish. Using your hands press into an even layer in the bottom of the pan. Bake until slightly golden, 20-25 minutes.

4.)While crust is baking, in a medium bowl, whisk eggs & sugar together until combined. Whisk in flour, lemon juice, and zest until blended completely.

5.)When you pull crust from oven, immediately pour filling on top, bake 20-25 minutes, or til filling no longer wiggles in center

6.)Remove from oven & let cool completely! Then If you used parchment, lift the whole thing from the pan and set on a cutting board. Cut into bars and dust with sifted powdered sugar, top w/1 candied lemon & sprinkle w/lavender.
